Which means ...
Autumn. Which means ... New tv series! But also continuation of old ones, that I'm waiting and waiting for.

Not that I'm copying what my dear friend Anna wrote at her blog, but we both talked already about it so now it's time to share with the world. Right?

That's why I'm gonna shortly introduce the Autumn period and my plans for watching/not watching/awaiting, etc. Only new series. Totally subjective point of view.
To be perfectly honest, I really didn't want to watch this one. Sarah Michelle Gellar reminds me about "Buffy the vampire slayer" and it, most likely, always will. The thing is, that I totally forgot the title of this series and when I was browsing my favorite website I decided to download one new episode of this mysterious series. I have to admit - I was quite disappointed when I found out who's playing main role... But I decided to give a chance after 10 minutes of watching. And... I will also watch next episode! Why? Because it's pretty good thriller/drama/crime series! I never expected that I will say something like that about production with ... Buffy. But she acts more mature and so far I'm quite interested with the main theme of the series.
By the way - it's kinda amazing, how many series have been produced and aired this year about twin sisters!

"Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as a woman who, after witnessing a murder, goes on the run, hiding out by assuming the life of her wealthy identical twin sister - only to learn that her sister's seemingly idyllic life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she's trying to leave behind. Bridget is six months sober and starting to turn her life around when she is the sole witness to a professional hit. Despite the assurances of her FBI protector, Agent Victor Machado, Bridget knows her life is on the line. She flees to New York, telling no one, not even her Narcotics Anonymous sponsor, Malcolm. In New York, Bridget reunites with her estranged twin, Siobhan. Wealthy, pampered and married to the strikingly handsome Andrew Martin, Siobhan lives what appears to be a fairy tale life - a life where no one knows that Bridget exists. The sisters seem to be mending their frayed relationship, until Siobhan disappears mysteriously, and Bridget makes the split decision to take on her sister's identity. She discovers shocking secrets, not only about her sister and her marriage, but also about Siobhan's best friend, Gemma, and Gemma's husband, Henry. And when someone tries to kill Bridget in her sister's penthouse, she realizes she is no safer as Siobhan than she is as herself. The series stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as Bridget and Siobhan, Kristoffer Polaha as Henry, Ioan Gruffudd as Andrew Martin, Nestor Carbonell as Agent Victor Machado and Tara Summers as Gemma."
New comedy series with Christina Applegate. The stories about new parents have never made me excited. It's not gonna change this time ... And additionally - I hate the main male actor.

"From Emily Spivey (NBC's "Parks and Recreation," NBC's "Saturday Night Live") and legendary Emmy Award-winning producer Lorne Michaels, comes "Up All Night," a modern take on parenthood that shows the challenges of balancing a career, marriage and a new baby. Christina Applegate ("Samantha Who?") stars as Reagan, a successful public relations executive, and Will Arnett ("Arrested Development") plays Chris, Reagan's supportive, stay-at-home husband. The two have just become parents - a surprise that has set their lives on a new path as responsible adults -- for the most part. Maya Rudolph ("Saturday Night Live," "Bridesmaids") stars as Ava, Reagan's outlandish boss and best friend, whose whirlwind social escapades serve as constant reminders of Reagan's former carefree life. James Pumphrey ("High Road") portrays Brian, Reagan's socially awkward hipster assistant."
Based on a British version. Doesn't look promising to me.

"Free Agents is a crooked workplace/romantic new comedy from creator John Enbom ("Party Down") and Emmy Award-winning director Todd Holland ("Malcolm in the Middle") based on the cult U.K. series of the same name that explores the trials and tribulations of two public relations executives on the rebound. Alex (Hank Azaria, "The Simpsons," "Huff") is newly divorced and can barely keep himself together while his co-worker Helen (Kathryn Hahn, "Hung") thinks she has it together but is obsessed with her deceased fiancé and actually is falling apart. Then a drunken Alex and Helen end up in bed together, and in the resulting sober confusion, Helen decides that they should only be friends. Meanwhile Alex's co-workers, Dan (Mo Mandel, "Love Bites," "Modern Family") and Gregg (Al Madrigal, "Wizards of Waverly Place," "Gary, Unmarried"), and Stephen (Anthony Head, "Merlin," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") fail in their attempts to help him get back out on the dating scene. When Alex finally agrees to a date, Helen gets a little jealous, and he gets cold feet, so they end up back where they started -- in a casual, intimate and beautifully awkward relationship."

The Secret Circle
Series based on a trilogy with the same name, written by L.J.Smith.
As much as I like Gale Harold, I have mixed feeling about The Secret Circle and witch-theme... And after "Life Unexpected" I'm a little bit tired of Brittany Robertson, which plays main role. But ... Let's give a chance.

"Cassie Blake was a happy, normal teenage girl - until her mother Amelia dies in what appears to be a tragic accidental fire. Orphaned and deeply saddened, Cassie moves in with her warm and loving grandmother Jane in the beautiful small town of Chance Harbor, Washington - the town her mother left so many years before - where the residents seem to know more about Cassie than she does about herself. As Cassie gets to know her high school classmates, including sweet-natured Diana and her handsome boyfriend Adam, brooding loner Nick, mean-girl Faye and her sidekick Melissa, strange and frightening things begin to happen. When her new friends explain that they are all descended from powerful witches, and they've been waiting for Cassie to join them and complete a new generation of the Secret Circle, Cassie refuses to believe them - until Adam shows her how to unlock her incredible magical powers. But it's not until Cassie discovers a message from her mother in an old leather-bound book of spells hidden in her mother's childhood bedroom, that she understands her true and dangerous destiny. What Cassie and the others don't yet know is that darker powers are at play, powers that might be linked to the adults in the town, including Diana's father and Faye's mother - and that Cassie's mother's death might not have been an accident. The series stars Britt Robertson as Cassie Blake, Thomas Dekker as Adam Conant, Gale Harold as Charles Meade, Phoebe Tonkin as Fay Chamberlain, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Melissa, Shelley Hennig as Diana Meade, Louis Hunter as Nick, Ashley Crow as Jane Blake and Natasha Henstridge as Dawn Chamberlain."
Sophisticated Caroline (Beth Behrs) is an uptown trust fund princess who's having a run of bad luck that forces her to reluctantly give waitressing a shot. At first, Max sees Caroline as yet another in a long line of inept servers she must cover for, but she's surprised to find that Caroline has as much substance as she does style. When Caroline discovers Max's knack for baking amazing cupcakes, she sees a lucrative future for them, but they first need to raise the start-up money. The style of the 1960s, the energy and excitement of the Jet Age and a drama full of sexy entanglements deliciously mesh in this thrilling and highly-original new series. In this modern world, air travel represents the height of luxury and Pan Am is the biggest name in the business. The planes are glamorous, the pilots are rock stars and the stewardesses are the most desirable women in the world. Not only are these flyboys and girls young and good looking, but to represent Pan Am they also have to be educated, cultured and refined. They're trained to handle everything from in-air emergencies to unwanted advances - all without rumpling their pristine uniforms or mussing their hair. There's Dean (Jonah Lotan) - a cocky, charismatic and ambitious new pilot - the first of a new breed not trained in the war. On the sly against company policy, he's dating Bridget, a stunning beauty with a mysterious past. A rebellious bohemian, Maggie (Christina Ricci) turns into a buttoned up professional for work so she can see the world. Rounding out the crew are flirtatious Collette (Karine Vanasse), the adventurous Kate (Kelli Garner) and, finally, Laura (Margot Robbie) - Kate's beauty queen younger sister, a runaway bride, who recently fled a life of domestic boredom to take to the skies. So when he finds a box of condoms on her nightstand, he moves them out of their apartment in New York City to a house in the suburbs. But all Tessa sees is the horror of over-manicured lawns and plastic Franken-moms. Being in the 'burbs can be hell, but it also may just bring Tessa and George closer than they've ever been. Tessa (Jane Levy) and George (Jeremy Sisto) have been on their own ever since Tessa's mom pulled a "Kramer vs. Kramer" before she was even potty trained. So far, George has done a pretty good job of raising Tessa without a maternal figure in their lives, but suddenly he's feeling a little out of his league. So it's goodbye New York City and hello suburbs. At first Tessa is horrified by the big-haired, fake-boobed mothers and their sugar-free Red Bull-chugging kids. But little by little she and her dad begin finding a way to survive on the clean streets of the 'burbs. Sure, the neighbors might smother you with love while their kids stare daggers at your back, but underneath all that plastic and caffeine, they're really not half bad. And they do make a tasty pot roast. The show stars Jeremy Sisto ("Law & Order") as George Altman, Jane Levy ("Shameless") as Tessa Altman, Carly Chaikin ("The Last Song") as Dalia Royce, Allie Grant ("Weeds") as Lisa, Alan Tudyk ("V") as Noah Lerner and Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") as Dallas Royce. After being a stay-at-home mom for years, Vanessa recently returned to the workplace and was quickly promoted (much to the dismay of her primarily male co-workers).

"From the inventive minds of "Lost" executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis comes a bold new imagining of the world, where fairy tales and the modern-day are about to collide. And they all lived happily ever after - or so everyone was led to believe. Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself. She's a 28-year-old bail bonds collector who's been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when the son she gave up years ago finds her, everything starts to change. Henry is now 10 years old and in desperate need of Emma's help. He believes that Emma actually comes from an alternate world and is Snow White and Prince Charming's missing daughter. According to his book of fairytales, they sent her away to protect her from the Evil Queen's curse, which trapped the fairytale world forever, frozen in time, and brought them into our modern world. Of course Emma doesn't believe a word, but when she brings Henry back to Storybrooke, she finds herself drawn to this unusual boy and his strange New England town. Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects that Storybrooke is more than it seems. It's a place where magic has been forgotten, but is still powerfully close... where fairytale characters are alive, even though they don't remember who they once were. The epic battle for the future of all worlds is beginning, but for good to win, Emma will have to accept her destiny and fight like hell. "Once Upon a Time" stars Ginnifer Goodwin ("Big Love") as Snow White/Sister Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison ("House MD") as Emma Swan, Robert Carlyle ("The Full Monty," "Trainspotting," "SGU Stargate Universe") as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Jamie Dornan as Sheriff Graham, Jared Gilmore ("Mad Men") as Henry, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/John Doe and Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket/Archie."

"A new multi-camera comedy about two best friends who are single moms struggling to raise their difficult and over-privileged teenage daughters. ANNIE (Emmy Award winner Jaime Pressly, "My Name Is Earl") and NIKKI (Tony Award winner Katie Finneran, "Wonderfalls") are former high school outcasts whose pasts inform their current parenting styles. Annie, who was raised in an ultra-strict, uber-religious household where she had little-to-no freedom, pretty much allows her daughter, SOPHIE (Kristi Lauren, "You"), to do whatever she wants. Nikki, once an unpopular, overweight social pariah, has reinvented herself as a pretty Southern belle whose top priority is providing her daughter, MACKENZIE (Aisha Dee, "Dead Gorgeous"), with the childhood she never had. Sophie and Mackenzie are also best friends, which leads to a lot of co-parenting for Annie and Nikki. They have given the girls everything they asked for and everything they never had: clothes, money and self-esteem. The unintended consequence is they have created two mean girls just like the ones who tortured them years ago. Sophie finds her mother embarrassing and mocks her at every opportunity, but she secretly needs her mom and knows that her behavior is not always appropriate. Mackenzie, on the other hand, is the more manipulative of the daughters - she knows how to work her mother's insecurities to her benefit. Annie's ex-husband, MATT (Eric Sheffer Stevens, "As The World Turns"), wants to be a good parent, but is too clueless to know what that even means. That leaves his brother, JACK (Kevin Rahm, "Desperate Housewives," "Judging Amy"), an attractive, high-powered attorney, to serve as more of a father figure for Sophie. Jack's meddling would annoy Annie more if she didn't have such a crush on him. GARY (Chad Coleman, "The Wire"), Nikki's ex, also tries to help raise his challenging daughter, but the couple's complicated relationship often makes his involvement more difficult. As their daughters begin to experience their first high school dances and other life-changing teen events, Annie and Nikki are often reminded of their own tortured adolescent years. But when Sophie and Mackenzie's mean-girl antics cross the line, the moms quickly realize that they must, for the first time, dole out some real punishment and fix what is broken. They have no idea how to do that, but they do know one thing: They can't do it without each other."

After waking up and having fast breakfast, first cider has been opened, which reminded what this day is all about. Drinking, socializing and talking loudly/shouting (because almost no one can hear you at the concert).

That was my second time at Grøn Koncert and I still think, that more than music - this event is mostly about socializing. Have to also admit, that it was pretty funny today. After smuggling alcohol (mini-bootles/shots bottles) in our underwear, we found the rest of the friends and we've started another cheerings. The sun was shining incredibly and I got really tanned. It was quite amazing that so many friends of ours have been there. And at one moment met all together and just... drunk, drunk and drunk.

All in all, at 18:30 organizators have announced that 32000 people have participated in this event. Sounds insane, doesn't it?

Anyway - it was really amazing to be there once again. Especially, that this time tickets were for free, cuz I got the giftcard for organizing The Big Shave (charity event).

Next event, worth to participate in: Stella Polaris. I will write about it soon.

Yesterday's circumstances have had influence on the today's post. The funny thing is that I was considering swapping HTC Desire HD for HTC ChaCha. But then I went to phone operators to check out and play a bit with the QWERTY candy-bar HTC's facebook phone and I got dissapointed, so I decided to stay with my lovely Desire HD.

However, yesterday I got robbed by two perker (hmm and now translation to English, for some of you not familiar with the description ... it would be like people from the middle-east, like Iraq, Iran, Turkey, etc.) who threatened me with knife, so I couldn't do much, except giving them my phone and wallet. At least I managed to negotiate giving me back my driving licence and sim-card from the phone. After confessing everything at the police station and being incredibly angry for couple of hours, I decided to get some cheap phone at my operator. One of the possible choices was Xperia x10 mini pro, but it has really shitty and out-dated version of Android and it is just old. But there was also a little bit more expensive ... HTC ChaCha... So without thinking much I got this phone. I thought eventually - "Well, I was considering it for some time and it stuck in my mind, so... maybe it's meant to be mine?".

Anyways - I guess I could make a review of this phone here, but I'm not really sure if there is anyone interested in that, so maybe I will just make a short resume after week or two of using it.

Some more posts are coming soon. Just needed to figure out couple of things in my private life, so there will be hopefully more time for posting soon.filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-50574058161341570442011-06-23T01:10:00.002+02:002011-07-11T15:34:33.103+02:00The short story about the smartphones ...It's time for something geeky.

In December 2010, I decided to change my iPhone 3GS for something new. I was bored of jailbreaking and modifying its look, because all the things that I wanted do weren't possible. Therefore I am sitting now with the computer on my knees and trying to sum up last 6 months and different devices that I was able to try. I would like to share my experience. Maybe it will be useful for someone. For sure it will be nice for me to take a look in the past and learn something on my mistakes. And yes - I know, I'm fucked up. But on my defence, I just wanted to say, that I haven't lost more than 200DKK (about 15 Euro). I was buying and selling on internet service (something like ebay) - dba.dk. Sometimes I earned, sometimes I lost.

Let me sum it all up by comparing main pluses and minuses. It's the easiest and the most subjective assessment. All the reviews you can find on plenty of different internet services, so I just tell you what I think.

My short story I started with iPhone, thus it's gonna be the first one.

*I used stars to mark the two models that I like the most from the overall ranking. Samsung Omnia 7 deserved to be one of the two, because of its huge potential and beautiful interface. Incoming update (called "Mango") will bring all the necessary improvements and it will force me to do what I can to try Windows Mobile 7 again. I'm currently using again HTC Desire HD and the only thing that I'm unhappy at the moment, is the awful battery... Maybe it's time to try again something new? We will see.
filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-84185688138910461152011-06-21T21:30:00.000+02:002011-07-11T15:25:40.092+02:00Come back.Hello dear reader.

Yes, I know. I feel guilty. And I should, because of my absence here. But I'm like Lassie - I'm always coming back.

Anyway, I have some ideas for new posts, thus incoming days will bring some new stuff (I really hope..).

And just to express my repentance - I'm posting below lovely song. If you have heard it already - don't worry coz I still have a lot of new clips; but if you haven't heard it - please spend nearly 4 minutes of your precious time and enjoy the beauty of this song.

I'm back.filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-10569258918080019322011-03-29T22:39:00.000+02:002011-07-11T15:25:40.092+02:00Movie: The GameFirst - I would like to thank Barbara for recommending me The Game. I was quite skeptical, coz lastly all the older movies (from before 2000) were a bit boring. But after 15 minutes of The Game you're getting so much involved into this movie, that all the world is stopping to exist.

Probably you're thinking right now what this movie is all about? Here you go:

Wealthy financier Nicholas Van Orton gets a strange birthday present from wayward brother Conrad: a live-action game that consumes his life.

Not enough? That's good, because you cannot know more before watching it! I mean it! It will spoil everything.

I can only add, that Michael Douglas is playing an amazing role there and this movie has become one of my favorites, even though that my first attempt was quite bad - I felt asleep after 10 minutes (but c'mon - that was only because I was damn tired, seriously!). You really should check it out.

Here's the trailer (perfect teaser):

Genre: Thriller
Rate on imdb.com: 7.7/10
My rate: 8/10

Today I have a plan to watch new thriller: The Speed of Thought. I have a feeling, that it is also a good one... I will tell you soon.

filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-62277639620935766922011-03-29T22:21:00.000+02:002011-07-11T15:25:40.092+02:00YouTube clips (week 13th)Lastly I've found quite a lot interesting things on YouTube, but one clip is killing me every time when I'm watching it. The funny thing is that I had no idea that it is Danish production, until I noticed some Danish flags in the background... You have to check this out! Really!

Another thing that focused my attention was the clip below. Especially the moment when they are throwing him the line and shouting: "Wait!". Fuck! I would kill each one of them after the jump.

Some time ago I found new song by Fever Ray (love them big time) to the movie Red Ridding Hood. Song was quite creepy and mysterious, so I decided to take a look on the movie clip, just to see what kind of Red Ridding Hood will it be. And? I'm partly disappointed, because I'm afraid that it's gonna be something like Twilight (there is even the same director) ... But I would like to see this production anyway. Maybe there will be more than one song by Fever Ray. Meanwhile - check the trailer.

I was also quite surprised after I watched short document about Google... Damn, I'd kill to work there.

filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-30998336774260193752011-03-27T14:52:00.001+02:002011-07-11T15:35:26.187+02:00Gothenburg - picturesPictures taken by the HTC Desire HD. I used application called FX Camera. I really like this cross color effect. It looks like old Russian camera.

filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-63572761282998921092011-03-26T23:11:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.093+02:00Gothenburg - impressions

3.55 is a time of day, when normal people usually sleep quite deep. But in my case it is simply beginning of the day when boat to Gothenburg is departing at 7. Waking up, taking shower, packing rest of the things that haven't been packed and departing from Viby at 4 something seemed to be a reasonable thing to do. But after putting to the navigation some random address in Frederikshavn, I received an information, that the time of arrival would be about 7:15 ... Which in that case, would be worse than bad, coz we supposed to be at 6:40 the latest at the terminal. So the only thing to do was speed up as much as it was possible.

Driving 150-160 for almost one hour was quite stressful, but it also surprised with one thing ... After crossing Alborg, which is placed something like 150 km from Viby, where I live, it started showing only 70 km left to Frederikshavn. Wait a minute! Navigation said that its more than hour after crossing this spot, and now some sign is saying that it's only 70 km? Let me have a minute and check the exact address of parking spot at the harbor in Frederikshavn. Taaaadaaa! It's only 20 minutes. Dammit! I'm not gonna comment, how stupid was it to just put some random address.

Frederikshavn woke up slowly and colorful sun has shown, what brought better mood.

After waiting 10 minutes for ship's departure, it was a real pleasure to go on a board and see the panorama of the city. It was such a relief, that all this waking up, driving and stressing wasn't a waste.

Ship itself was really comfortable. Except goodies, such as wireless connection and comfortable sofas, it also allows to go outside and admire the views from interesting angles.

Funny thing, that I noticed during exploring the board, was a sticker, placed right above the trash bin.

Doesn't it look familiar? The apple? Apparently designer of this sticker wasn't a huge fan of APPLE.

After couple of hours of spending nice time, some rocks started appearing in the middle of the sea. It was a sign, that Sweden is saying slowly "Welcome".

I definitely fell in love right away after seeing this lovely lantern and this cozy house next to it (pic. below).

First thought after we entered deeper into the Swedish harbor, was: "damn, it looks quite similar to Norway".
Rocky coast appeared from sides and without any doubt, everyone could say right away that we're in Scandinavia. Beautiful, raw landscape started having more and more buildings. The funniest thing in picture below is the small house in the middle of the picture. This house has its base on couple of wooden pillars and it doesn't look trustworthy at all. But it looks cute, doesn't it?

Moment full of emotions - going under the bridge in a superhigh ship. By the way - anyone has every wondered that Swedish flag is so similar to Danish one? Actually Norwegian is even more (coz they added only one cross inside of Danish flag).

So in other words... Nothing else left to do, but just ...

And enjoy the views from the ship, before the real trip starts. And both legs will be in pain.

The first thing that surprised me the most was huge amount of Volvo cars driving around. Seriously! They are everywhere! It doesn't matter how old it is. They are just all over the city. In one moment I started wondering if maybe Swedes have some nice discounts on them, but after taking to my hands local newspaper and taking a look on announcements - I couldn't see anything so much different from Denmark. Prices looked similar. Maybe just a little bit cheaper, but it wasn't much. Well - I cannot imagine any other reason, than patriotism, because Volvo is from Sweden.

Or ... Or maybe they are receiving them for free, because they are Swedes? Hmm.

Just try to count how many of them is parked on the pictures below, in compare with other cars ...

Oh well - but they are also addicted to Toyota Prius. So in other words - half of the cars in Gothenburg (as I noticed) was Volvos, 30% - Toyota Priuses and the rest all the other fancy cars. It's also kinda freaky, when some Prius is sneaking around without making any sound. And in this case you can have a heart attack when one appears right behind you and you have no bloody idea how come that this damn car is so silent.

Another thing that I could compare to Norway is the amount of these weird trees (pic below). They are as popular in Gothenburg as they were in Oslo. I do, like them, coz they are not so commonly seen everywhere else. But it just surprised me that they are also here. Maybe they are in the middle of the city because of its decorative aspect?

Oh, there is one thing more about the cars. It is also quite popular here to drive some unique cars, such as for example ... Low rider.

Hmmm I think that would be also a good idea to mention signs when I wrote already something about cars.
Well the thing with the signs is, that they usually don't have white background as it is in other places in the world. Instead of white color, they are using orange. It looks so weird and so unusual. Me not likie ...

To not to complain only, I would like to also say that Sweden has very pretty trash bins in the middle of the city. I really do like them. Especially because of the design.

Crossing the streets in order to get to the center of Gothenburg let us see many interesting things, such as: someone's head built-in the wall ...

Interesting lamps (hat-shaped lamps)...

Unique 'green' person in the "Kawaii" shop ...

Frozen canal (because of that we couldn't take a 'canal boat trip' - such a shame)...

Old, classic, beautiful building like this one ... (I think it was some kind of University)

Unidentified things like ...

Finally center of the city and popular here Trams, which look a bit alike as Polish ones.

The main promenade was full of fancy dressed people, 7-Eleven shops (almost at every corner), McDonalds, H&Ms and there was even already a line for a new iPad 2 in a front of MacStore. Geek corner - something for me.

The ice is still visible on a water.

After some time, it was a real MUST to go and take a look on Swedish "London Eye" - which is called there: "Wheel of Gothenburg".

At the beginning it looked really scary and with my fear of heights, I had little doubt if it is a good idea. But it appeared to be a real pleasure to go up on it and take a look at the Gothenburg's panorama.

Well - it was a bit weird to see another wagon which was filled by canisters. But I believe it was connected with the balance of this attraction in general ... Any other ideas?

It was pretty amazing to see the city from the top. The attraction was about 50 m high, so perspective on pictures below shows all the possible views...

And multitasking in my edition...

Near the aforementioned Wheel of Gothenburg, there is a beautiful (from the outside at least) Opera:

The highest skyscraper in this area is placed just next to this Wheel. And it's 80 m high. Entry costs 30 SEK per person and you are allowed to go by elevator at 22nd floor, together with guide at full hour, as it was written: 11,12,13,14,15. We decided that it's not a great idea to spend 10% of time which we had given in Gothenburg on waiting 45 minutes for full hour, so unfortunately we decided to skip this attraction. But anyway - the architecture of this building was quite impressive.

And there is also huge shopping mall with more than 200 shops. It looked so crowdy and messy inside.

4 hours of walking and sightseeing was quite exhausting, so perfect idea popped up out of our minds and we decided to make a stop and drink huge latte from, ofc, 7-Eleven. Well, after waking up at 3:55, additional coffee is an amazing thing. So in this case we totally agreed with: Oh thank heaven for 7-eleven.

Break for coffee regenerated the energy and a good idea seemed to be to go and visit museum of Design, Fashion and Decorative Arts - Röhsska.
I found there the most amazing desk, I've ever seen. I fell in love of course and decided to buy it in the future, when I will be superrich.

Except the desk above, apartment from my dreams will be full of lamps, chairs and other designs by Verner Panton:

There was also quite beautiful antique mirror.

After we left the museum, we crossed the streets and saw interesting monument, which says something about stopping the war... I can bet that I've already seen it somewhere before. But now just question where ... Hmm.

In general - Gothenburg seems to be really design-friendly place, where you can all the time admire something new and interesting. Except beautiful restaurants, coffee shops, which are incredibly designed, you can also be under big impression of places, like theater:

And the most impressive sculpture I've seen for a while, which changes the perspective every time that you're walking around of it. Isn't it incredible?

Please don't ask why we went so high and then went down right away ... But at least view from the top looks quite nice.

Gothenburg is full of beautiful places, that's for sure. But you can also be surprised by unexpected, opened doors and weird sounds coming out of the street. Then you're just taking a look what the hek is there and you see something like that:

There is also quite mysterious Skansen near the harbor, which we planned to see at the beginning of our trip. But we quite quickly changed our minds, when we saw how high it is. Nevertheless at the end of our cruise through the city, we decided to make a stop and see it.

And? Damn, it was such a good decision! Look at the views below.

Mysterious castle (?) appeared to be some kind of restaurant.

On our way back to the ship, we also crossed next to the beautiful, gothic-like church:

Gothenburg is a place, where you can find really fancy places. Prices there are incredible, but interior looks so amazing, that you can forget about whole wide world. Sneaking around one of the pubs (or maybe it was restaurant?) we stopped to take a sneaky picture through the window. It was amazing. This chandelier together with fancy wallpaper made a nice impression. Take a look:

Being back on the ship to Denmark let observe, how many tracks are entering all the time ships like that. It's incredible, how heavy weight can handle such a ship... Well - of course, there is still a limit, but it's still quite amazing, what human can make, isn't it?

Last views from the ship...

The way from Denmark to Sweden we spent on a ship called: Jutlandica, but on our way back, we had even fancier and bigger one - Danica. I like the second one more, but the company of drunk Swedes, which are going from Gothenburg to Frederikshavn each Friday and they are starting party on board, makes it a little bit annoying. Thankfully they were at the floor below us, but still - sometimes some girls with prostitute look were walking around or drinking youngsters made some sounds.

So it's a right time to make conclusions.

It was an amazing trip. Without any doubt. It was a real pleasure to see Sweden and famous Gothenburg. Place has surprised me from many different point of views.

Definitely the biggest minus of this city is, that no matter where you going (doesn't matter if you buy something), you always have to pay for using the toilet. And it gets irritating, when you don't have Swedish coins, because most of the toilets are closed and secured by the machine which accepts only coins. Even in McDonald, after buying food - you have to pay for using the toilet. Well - maybe for them, it's something normal, but it becomes annoying for tourists who pay mostly by credit cards.

Another thing - internet. Well - in Denmark you have an access almost everywhere to free cloud where you can connect to this wireless connection. But in Sweden it's different. After spending 20 minutes on a bench, when I was setting up my account on some kind of Gothenburg "free" WIFI Cloud, as a result I could read, that if I want to use internet for 30 minutes I have to pay some money. None of the connections that I caught, was possible to connect. And for a geek as me, who is addicted to being on-line for 24/7 it's a real disaster, when I must have a phone in Airplane mode and the only practical function is camera. Dammit!

But stop with complaining! People there are so polite and nice! You wouldn't believe it! Woman behind the cash register in 7-Eleven, except asking only what would we like to buy, asked also where are we from, what are we doing in Sweden, how long are we gonna stay, and if we hungry, etc. Another one - for our question about getting to Design Museum, spent more than 15 minutes on explaining us politely how to get there, instead of give away all the fliers that she had and that was her job. So sweet! Also service in the aforementioned museum was very, very polite. And the best thing is, that when you're crossing the street - drivers are stopping no matter where are you - to just let you go! Damn, Danish drivers could learn something from that, hehe.

There is also a thing with alcohol in Sweden. After visiting Netto (small supermarket), I was surprised that they almost don't have any alcohol there! Seriously! The strongest beer (one of 3 kinds...) had 3,5%. Rest of them was like 2,5% or something similar. I was told that they are not selling alcohol in shops. They have special shops for that, which are opened and organized by the government. It's like liquor store. You can see there a lot of different people - kids who are trying to cheat to get a beer, people who are buying tones of beers for party, granny who is willing to buy a good wine, etc. The thing with alcohol in Sweden is, that it's so damn expensive! For one box of 24 cans of Carlsberg - you have to pay about 250 SEK, which is like 28 Euros. It's so expensive that people who live in place that has a harbor, are rather going for shopping or partying to Denmark, because the ticket for a cheap trip both ways to Denmark (or Sweden) costs only 100 DKK. That's why you're meeting drunk people on a board...

Sweets, however, are cheaper than in Denmark. When we noticed that in Netto you can buy 100g of random Candies for 3,9SEK, we were like: "fuuuuuuck, we have to take at least one kilo!" - so that's what we did and you can see the result below ...

Another thing that made a huge impression on me, was a way how Swedes are dressing up. They all are soooo damn fancy! Seriously! We decided to don't care about what we have when we were making decision what to wear during this day and having comfortable shoes was much more important for us than being fancy... Well - we regretted. We felt really bad among all the other people. Next time - no matter what, it's a must to have something fancy, hehe. It's also amazing that most of the people that we met on the streets, had really great taste and sense of aesthetics. They can join things in different way than Danes. All in all - I really thought that Scandinavian fashion is quite much similar, but well - it's not. And it's amazing.

Some people in Gothenburg care about the brands ...

That was really great trip and I'm looking so much forward to visit Sweden again. I don't care that I don't understand much when it comes to the language... It's just an amazing atmosphere there. About the language - well, it's not difficult for me to understand Swedish, when I'm reading... But when someone is speaking - damn, it sounds so weird! I would almost say that Danish sounds pretty in compare with that.filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-38347619581169884542011-03-24T21:24:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.093+02:00Gothenburg

Nope, I'm not gonna talk about Air France and their song Gothenburg belongs to me. Well - in this case, I'd like to start with something that I loved from the very first listening.

Alex Turner - "Submarine"

Bright eyed, with a look halfway between penitence and innocence,Submarine star Craig Roberts stares back at you from the cover of Alex Turner's soundtrack to the buzzy indie comedy.

Submarine collects five and a half new Turner songs. They all are minimalistic, mid-tempo ballads, which are surprisingly catchy. Honestly, I was so surprised after listening all of it for the first time. I expected typical Arctic Monkeys' style. And? I got disappointed. But it doesn't mean that I don't like the album! No, no, no! It's pretty amazing, to be honest! Easy listening, perfect for every afternoon. Highly recommended. If you thought so - have to disappoint you, sadly. And maybe surprise. Tomorrow Mini is going to be a swimmer. How come? Because one of friends of mine found in newspaper info about new opened place, where is a swimming pool for dogs. Because it's something new, owners decided to promote the place and give some free tours for first ones who are interested in that. That's why we took a look lastly at this place and booked a date, which seems to be tomorrow. I've also heard that they offer some massage for dogs. Isn't it to good?!Looking so much forward to see if big puppy can swim. Hope he's not gonna drawn.
Anyway - more infos and photos soon! Keep your fingers for him tomorrow, hehe.

EDIT:

Doggy survived, even though that he was quite afraid. After spending 20 mins at youtube watching her music clips, I can conclude that her inspirations are quite visible. For me it sounds like a mix of Björk and Kate Nash. The result is impressive, though. And of course Oh Land is a Dane, but at the moment she lives in Brooklyn (jelly!). On my horizon is Angus and Julia Stone. That's one of the things that I really have to check out. Sounds quite similar to Oh Land and that's exactly what I need now.

Genre: electropop

Favourite tracks: Son of a Gun, White Nightsfilipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-27293882863658395702011-03-23T09:38:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.094+02:00Soup

As a first geeky post I decided to choose something what made me quite curious. Soup. Soup.io to be precise. Soup can aggregate everything you create online into one place, in your own style, at your own address. So in other words - another microblogging service. But surprisingly easy to use. It also lets you change the layout however you would like. As long as you have a bit of good taste it can be a real pleasure for others to view your posts there. Comfortable buttons which pops up on the left side of screen, make it easier than usual, to just post whatever is possible.
Video? Sure, why not. Pictures? Ofc. Quotes? Duuuh. Music file? Nothing easier - just press two things. But a real attraction, especially for me, is a way of posting new things when you find'em at someone else's soup - by simply pressing: "repost", you can be sure that the same thing will find its place on your 'soup' as well.

So in other words - if you really feel that you could waste some time and let others waste it thanks to you and your creativity - that's a way of doing it.

Here's my soup. Series?Lastly almost all the evenings we are spending on watching movies and TV series. Even though, that I decided to start reading book before bed, which appeared to be impossible. Each time that everything in TV is finished my eyes are shutting themselves and I cannot do anything to open 'em.

But anyways - it's not my point. The thing is that I realized yesterday, that I really hate 'history' movies. In the middle of King's Speech, I seriously thought that I'm gonna die from boredom.... Yesterday, however, I really tried! Really tried! to stay awake on The Notebook! But .. well ... I failed. Instead of that I decided to continue watching possible episodes of ... Desperate Housewives. Damn, getting addicted again.

Does anyone have any good recommendation what to watch? I'm afraid I'm gettin' to close to the last episode of aforementioned TV series ...filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-38862093254389839672011-03-14T15:38:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.095+02:00Mossø[gallery orderby="title"]

The last one before I got sick. Beginning of the spring time...

Sorry for the quality, but it all was taken by the phone.filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-60571944145421736852011-02-25T15:23:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.095+02:00Weekend

Time to start exciting weekend.
First - going to Claus' friends, who are 40km on the North of Esbjerg. Wish I could paste a map now, but unfortunatelly I'm typing from a phone, coz we are on our way there.
Funny - I'm always quite sceptical when it comes to people that I don't know yet - as today, but I'm also a bit happy that we're going there. Even though that it could be quite cool to just stay home and watch all the possible tv series.
Anyway, I don't even know how to spell the name of the place that we're going to. But I've heard it's quite pretty, so at least there will be an occassion to go with the dogs and admire some views.
Still the most exciting and desired element is... concert of The National! Tomorrow. Looking so much forward to that! It's gonna be awesome! I can remind myself how it was almost two years ago during 'Off Festival' in PL, when they had a gig.

About Internship? Working on some kind of brochures. Electronic and paper version. I'll write more about it on Sunday.

Yesterday waterfalls were so huge... take a look at the picture. Hate the weather at the moment. Superwindy, cold and it looks like it will stay snowing in a sec.

Have a nice weekend!
filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-59886083732603379232011-02-21T12:40:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.096+02:00InternshipSo I started an internship. Of course - improvised already at the meeting with headmaster, which wasn't even informed that I'm coming today. Awesome.
My direct 'boss' - Megan, is sick, so I have to report everything during this week directly to the headmaster - Thomas. Our meeting in the morning was quite fine and he was happy that I'm going to do all of the things that I mentioned before, but he was really surprised when I told him what we decided to do with Megan about the school's website. Hmm surprise, surprise - I thought that they talked about it. Weird.

I got so creative that I created quite cool mind map, what am I gonna do here. And honestly, I didn't even think that I can put so many different point there, hehe. It's gonna be a busy week, I see. But first I have to see how everything here, in school, works. And see all the places, find out about organizational structure and stuff like that.

Damn, cannot wait to see The National on Saturday.

Oki, doki - so I'm going back to work, coz I don't wanna be called 'lazy ass' from the beginning.

Some pictures from my small office later.filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-57694451575339118062011-02-21T02:18:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.096+02:00Ebeltoft

Instead of preparing for internship, which I'm starting tomorrow, I decided to fight all morning long with hangover from yesterday and right after that to go with doggy to ebeltoft and have a 'sunday trip'. After walking more than 2 hours, it was more than nice and cosy to go back home and just eat frozen disgusting pizza and watch a movie. Oh btw - if someone will have a dilema if it is a good idea to watch "Love and other drugs" - well, I would say it's worth it. But nothing extraordinary and surprising. A bit too much drama. But watchable. And if u don't wanna watch anything, which needs from u to turn on yr brain - u should watch this one.

Ok... tomorrow is gonna be a big improvisation. That's for sure!
filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-73754241078556351482011-02-19T10:48:00.000+01:002011-07-11T15:25:40.096+02:00Winter came back

Of course - one day after my coming back to DK, it really had to happen! It started snowing here again! Dammit - I'm starting thinking that it's all my fault, coz wherever and whenever I'm going, the weather is changing unexpectedly.

Any ideas, dear readers, what could be my costume for a theme bday party today where I have to dress up as a 70 years old me?

Oh btw... my defending thesis in PL will be probably at 27 or 28 of March, as I got infromed yesterday, by my tutor... so that's when I'm gonna be in this country again. Just so u know.
filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428942890060703074.post-7477708488406663772010-10-22T19:13:00.000+02:002011-07-11T15:25:40.096+02:00Business Plan information - How to Start a Business
Business Plan information - How to Start a Business
filipovskyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15902131726678092544noreply@blogger.com0
